shaft is my love song
back home at 11.30.hello all.i'm working at kallang lesiure park these few days. It's nice to be working again although i'm standing for 11 hours.Beats sitting infront of a computer imo. I wont say what i'm working as but it deals with alot of people who speak chinese.Hahaha. Most of my colleagues speak it quite well so i'm pretty set. I help out with whatever i can.
My colleagues so far have included
-A calefare from 'the little nonya' He bullied jeanette aw in episode 6 and 7
-2 guys waiting to enter ntu
-A former food tech DCP student (my future job prospect HAHA)
One of the ntu guy is a pretty damn good salesman.He worked as a promoter for panasonic before he enlisted 2 years back.PES E as well! So he's good in my books from the start :D Anyway i know if i could speak proper chinese i could be a good promoter as well. lol. not knowing chinese sucks. i was supposed to improve my chinese last year lol.hahah.so su=crewed up.
anyway these 2 weeks have been not bad.Played frisbee and soccer after church on sunday. Hope everyone had fun!Sorry to moses for breaking his frisbee lol.It's all the taxi's fault.He hates frisbees.I met sherlene and rebecca accidentally last sat and yesterday respectively! Seriously big surprises. hahah.funny stories on meeting them.
I'm tired and can't form anything inspiring.Good night all

daily wheat based product for consumption
i was supposed to go for a flyer distribution job at 11 at potong pasir.Unfortunately, i got terribly lost and found myself wandering around the entire Saint Andrews compound.
Got home and painted the study room which took 7hours!! And the room is damn high.So damn high. I played lush 99.5 during this whole 7 hours. So if you've never heard lush at a loud volume,you're missing out a whole bunch.
And i'm working tmr at 10. Need to be sleeping now.

There's a war outside and i wonder when i can play my games
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - Israeli ground troops and tanks cut swaths through the Gaza Strip early Sunday, bisecting the coastal territory and surrounding its biggest city as the new phase of a devastating offensive against Hamas gained momentum.
Thousands of soldiers in three brigade-size formations pushed into Gaza after nightfall Saturday, beginning a long-awaited ground offensive after a week of intense aerial bombardment. Black smoke billowed over Gaza City at first light and bursts of machine gun fire rang out.
TV footage showed Israeli troops with night-vision goggles and camouflage face paint marching in single file. Artillery barrages preceded their advance, and they moved through fields and orchards following bomb-sniffing dogs ensuring their routes had not been booby-trapped.
The military said troops killed or wounded dozens of militant fighters, but Palestinian medical teams in Gaza, unable to move because of the fighting, could not provide accurate casualty figures.
Hamas said only four fighters had been killed. Gaza health officials said around 20 civilians had also died in airstrikes and shelling. They included a 12-year-old girl, five members of the same family and another eight civilians killed by a tank shell in the northern Gaza town of Beit Lahiya.
500 Palestinians killed
The new deaths brought the toll in the Gaza Strip since Saturday to more than 500. Palestinian and U.N. officials say at least 100 civilians are among the dead.
Army ambulances were seen bringing Israeli wounded to a hospital in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba. The military reported 30 Israeli troops were wounded, two seriously, in the opening hours of the offensive.
In his first public comments since the ground operation was launched, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told his Cabinet on Sunday that Israel could not allow its civilians to continue to be targeted by rockets from Gaza.
"This morning I can look every one you in the eyes and say the government did everything before deciding to go ahead with the operation," he said.
A senior military officer said Hamas was well-prepared for the Israeli incursion into Gaza, a densely populated territory of 1.4 million where militants operate and easily hide in the crowded urban landscape. He said the operation was "not a rapid one that would end in hours or a few days."
Still, he said, "We have no intention of staying in the Gaza Strip for the long term." He spoke on condition of anonymity in accordance with army regulations.
Israel says the objective is to restore quiet to Israel's south, not to topple Hamas or reoccupy Gaza.
'Graveyard' for Israeli forces
Hamas threatened to turn Gaza into a "graveyard" for Israeli forces. You entered like rats," Hamas spokesman Ismail Radwan told Israeli soldiers in a statement on Hamas' Al Aqsa TV. "Gaza will be a graveyard for you, God willing."
The ground operation is the second phase in an offensive that began as a weeklong aerial onslaught aimed at halting Hamas rocket fire that has reached deeper and deeper into Israel, threatening major cities and one-eighth of Israel's population.

While the air offensive presented little risk for Israel's army, sending in ground troops is a much more dangerous proposition. Honestly sometimes, i wonder why even bother. Cause once you start to have a desire for a cause say human rights,then someone comes along and says
'hey don't you care about nature? is'nt nature important too?'
so you say hey why not,it's a good cause.

then you say ok, i hear you, makes more good points,read about it.

'the occupation of iraq by american forces'

then it becomes a chore,cause you realise that jesus christ. There is so much wrong in this world and where the hell can i start.Jesus christ.jesus christ.
i realise it's a long way i've got to go and hey i'm not likely to do anything great.i've got a too short attention span and i'm not dedicated enough to see it through. But it doesn't hurt to try. It doesn't hurt to try to take a stand and try to understand what's going on.
It doesn't hurt to try to make a difference.
In all honesty,i feel the same way about the palestine israel conflict as i did about the burma's monks revolt.Nothing. I feel more concerned about nature than i do about people dying. It makes me feel guilty like now,that i care about the soil and the grass more than kids being killed.But i can't live my life as a guilt trip. I feel for the palestinians children but you can't expect me to be concerned about them all the time. You mean I can't enjoy my slurpee without thinking about the children in africa who doesn't have enough to eat?
god i sound like such a fucking prick.an atas prick.
